Not much to say about this joint except that it will be a club banger very soon! This song puts together two great up-and-coming artists in the hip-hop world on the same track, produced by Cool N Dre. Wale’s flow matches the song perfectly, creating a great jam to listen to anytime. Wale’s debut album, Attention: Deficit is scheduled to drop some time this year, and this single is only building the hype!

Album of the Moment: ‘Mixtape About Nothing’ – Wale

Great mixtape from an up-and-coming hip hop artist coming from the DC/Maryland area. He has the noticeable influences of MCs along the likes of Mos Def, Q-Tip, KRS-One, etc. Reminding me a lot of the likes of Lupe Fiasco, he knows how to change his flow while maintaining a constant message throughout the music. Putting his enjoyment of the show Seinfield to work, he made this mixtape with a constant theme based around the show. Using various audio samples from episodes, he is able to demonstrate his crafty and unique style by framing his songs around the message from the show. 

Although he may not be extremely well known, he has been making his way into the limelight lately by getting cameo’ed on songs with such artists as The Roots. With an album in the near future, keep your ears open for what’s to come from this rising MC.

Major props to the 10Deep crew putting their resources together to help an amazing MC. Great clothes, great music, doesn’t get much better.
