[MP3] Yeasayer – Madder Red

December 12, 2009 · Leave a Comment

As if the tease of “Ambling Alp” wasn’t enough, some new tracks from Yeasayer’s upcoming release Odd Blood have surfaced on the net. This new track, “Madder Red” definitely has the experimental-psychadelic-pop feel that came with “Ambling Alp,” only this the time Annan Wilder comes through with darker vocals to compliment the Guns-N-Roses – esque vocals that lead the track. Don’t blame me for leaking this song, as it is currently the top Yeasayer result on HypeMachine. For those who have been lucky enough to catch Yeasayer recently (myself included with my first of many to come at Pitchfork Music Festival 2009), then you will recognize the track. This just goes to show that even an amazing live track can get that much better once Yeasayer hits the studio in preperation for Odd Blood. Click through the link below to download the new track and satisfy your aural desires.

Kanye West “Gay Fish” South Park Parody

April 12, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I hope you were able to catch this past episode of South Park and laugh at the complete massacre of Kanye West via the minds of Trey and Matt. The shots at Yeezy were endless, attacking everything from his style to his swagger to his ego. Definitely worth watching for some great laughs. The music video at the end was a great mockery of Kanye and his musical style. Not too bad for some random music by random people. Enjoy a few laughs!

Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band – “Nikorette”

I really wish Conor Oberst would just A) Release more tunes from the new album or B) Move the release date of Outer South to an earlier date! If you check out their website you can download an MP3 of the new song “Nikorette or since you have found my little spot on the internet, I have provided one for you. Just sharing the wealth. I am really excited to hear Conor take his music in another direction from the brilliant Bright Eyes route. He definitely started to make strides with his self-titled album from last year. His newest work with The Mystic Valley Band is pure Oberst-esque brilliance wrapped up in a new musical genre for the Bright Eyes lyricist. I’m hoping to catch a show sometime on the current tour, and if you can make any of the dates I promise you will not regret it! Enjoy!

The Killers – “Four Winds”

March 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment

So I’m not too sure what to make of this cover. The original version, by none other than Mr. Conor Oberst himself, was beautiful and picturesque, but I can’t say that Brandon Flowers and the gang did a bad job of covering it either. In typical Killers fashion, the synth-based cover does Four Winds good, and leaves you with the same passing feeling. Enjoy!

GLC Ft. Kanye West – “Big Screen”

March 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Fresh out of the cutting block, the new jam from GLC featuring the ever-suavy Kanye West, entitled “Big Screen.” GLC has been hard at work for quite awhile now working on his debut album on G.O.O.D. records. This is a great slower song, something pure fire out of the G.O.O.D. camp. Look for this label to absolutely DOMINATE 2009. Enjoy!

Wale Ft. Lady Gaga – “Chillin’”

Not much to say about this joint except that it will be a club banger very soon! This song puts together two great up-and-coming artists in the hip-hop world on the same track, produced by Cool N Dre. Wale’s flow matches the song perfectly, creating a great jam to listen to anytime. Wale’s debut album, Attention: Deficit is scheduled to drop some time this year, and this single is only building the hype!

Rumor has it the “official” single isn’t leaked yet, just radio rips. But if you check out my link you might discover otherwise…..Enjoy!
